↑Butler softball: Can win Southwestern 4A title Friday.
↑Hannah Perkins, Rachel Perkins, Myers Park girls’ lacrosse: Five goals each in a 18-6 win over Ardrey Kell. Landon Shelley had six assists.
↑Natalie Wallon, Charlotte Catholic girls’ lacrosse: Six goals in 15-5 win over Marvin Ridge.
↑Charlotte Latin lacrosse stars: Jackson Monnin, Carson Song and Owen Armstrong hit career milestones recently. Moonin, who has committed to Lehigh, scored his 100th career goal in Wednesday’s 15-8 win over Latin. He has 30 goals this season. Armstrong scored his 200th career point in a 16-2 win against Forsyth Country Day April 7. He’s committed to Denison. And Song scored his 400th career point and 100th point this season in a 14-10 in over Charlotte Christian April 10. He’s committed to Brown.
Wednesday’s Top Performers
Hayes Christenbury, Myers Park baseball: 2-for-3 with an RBI in a 4-3 win over Butler. The Mustangs pulled within a game in the loss column of first-place Butler.
Leah Murray, Hough softball: 3-for-4 with two triples and three runs scored in an 11-0 win over A.L. Brown.
Ashton Poole, Country Day golf: Even-par 72 at Piper Glen in a dual-team match with Covenant Day. Country Day won 303-393.
Austin Smith, South Mecklenburg baseball: Senior was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in a 16-1 win over Berry.
Emma Swenson, Butler softball: 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and five RBIs in a 11-0 win over Myers Park.
Max Wotell, Marvin Ridge baseball: Pitcher improved to 7-0 with a complete game, 4-hit win over Cuthbertson. Marvin Ridge won 4-0 and Wotell was 2-for-3 at the plate.

Independence baseball at Myers Park Friday, 6:30: Independence (12-8, 7-2 Southwestern 4A) has won two straight and is just behind Butler (12-3, 9-1) for the league lead. Myers Park (9-7, 8-1) is a half game back of first place.
Porter Ridge softball at Butler, Friday, 5:30: Porter Ridge (9-4, 8-1 Southwestern 4A) has won five straight games to pull into sole possession of second place in the conference. Butler (12-3, 10-0) has won seven straight and will look to win the league title.
