York Prep: beat 3A private power Arden Christ School 76-61 Friday. Jaron Williams had 17 points, five assists for York Prep. Deuce Dean had 14 points, three assists, and junior center DJ Burns had 10 points, 15 rebounds.

Hickory Ridge girls: since 2015, Hickory Ridge is 75-7. The Ragin’ Bulls are No. 2 in the Charlotte Observer Sweet 16.

Ian Martino, Lake Norman Charter: Career-high 20 points in a 72-59 loss than Lincolnton.

United Faith defense: Falcons didn’t allow more than eight points in a quarter in their 65-24 win over North Hills Christian. Malcolm Wade had 24 points, Sam Wolfe had 16 points, 11 rebounds.

23: Sun Valley’s Amanda Cherry scored 23 points in Friday’s 62-32 loss to Marvin Ridge. She passed Amanda Leigh for the school scoring record. Cherry now has 1,565 points and sits No. 15 on the all-time Union County scoring list.

20: Providence girls star Nyla McGill had 20 points, seven steals, four rebounds, three assists in a 46-28 over Olympic Friday. Jaylyn Askew had 13 points, 10 rebounds. Brynn Harrison had three points and seven steals. Providence outscored Olympic 16-2 in the fourth quarter.

29: Lincolnton’s Kris Robinson had a career-high 29 points and six assists in a win over Lake Norman Charter Friday. He made five 3-point shots.

38: Kings Mountain’s Adrian Delph had 38 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and four steals in a 90-40 win over Lawndale Burns Friday. He made 7-of-10 3-point attempts. Zeke Littlejohn had 14 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals. Eli Paysour had 23 points, nine rebounds and three steals.

Erin Cepeda, Fort Mill Comenius: 34 points, seven rebounds, three steals against Durham Mount Zion. She made eight 3-point shots.

Marcus Henderson, Statesville Christian: 24 points, 11 assists, five steals, three rebounds in an 86-38 win over University Christian. Teammate Christian Bailey had 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Jordan Peters, Statesville Christian girls: team-high 24 points in an 86-34 win over University Christian. Statesville Christian is 27-0.

Blake Preston, Charlotte Christian: 16 points, 10 rebounds in a 78-66 loss to Arden Christ School. Christ School junior point guard Jalen Lecque scored 17 of his 28 points in the first half. Christian guard JC Tharrington had 16 points and seven assists.

Kaitlin Walker, Charlotte Christian girls: 28 points, 17 rebounds in a 68-45 win over SouthLake Christian. It was Walker’s 13th double-double of the season. The 28 points was a season and career-high. She made 14-of-19 shots and now has 275 rebounds for the season.
