Lake Norman’s Ryan Jurist win NCHSAA 4A West tennis regional

Lake Norman’s Ryan Jurist won the N.C. 4A Western Regional Saturday at Hough High School.

Jurist defeated Hough’s Wyayimer Jimenez 6-0, 6-0 in the championship match. In the third place match Coleman Baker of Skyland Roberson beat Chimnay Kulkarni of Providence 6-2, 6-1.

All four players advanced to Saturday’s state final.

In doubles, Ardrey Kell’s Robert Shore and Graham Basquin defeated Myers Park’s Charlie Fox and Koby Frank 6-3, 6-4. That pair along with doubles team from Charlotte Catholic (Jack Deering and Lance Clementi) and Hough (Sean Wydra and Kirk Miller) qualified for the state championships.
