Aubrey Carter new football coach at Marvin Ridge
Marvin Ridge High recently named Aubrey Carter its head football coach.
Carter had been on the Lake Norman High staff since 2002, most recently serving as the offensive coordinator for three years and the defensive coordinator for two.
Carter was an offensive lineman at Mars Hill College and majored in physical education, which he will teach at Marvin Ridge.
He will replace Brad Hoover, who is now head coach at Concord’s Cannon School. Marvin Ridge was 3-9 last year.
“I chose Marvin Ridge because I feel that we can build a successful football program with the support of our administration and football community,” Carter said in a release from the school. “I look forward to coaching this group of young men that are willing to work hard to build a successful program.”
