Hickory Ridge football coach to work US Army All-America game

Harrisburg Hickory Ridge High football coach Sam Greiner has been selected as a coach for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl game.

The game brings together 100 of the nation’s top senior high school football players and will be played Jan. 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. NBC will televise the game live.

One of Greiner’s former players at Harding, running back/linebacker Quavaris Crouch, will play in the game. Crouch plans to announce his college choice during the game.

Greiner led Harding to its first state championship since the ‘50s last season. He accepted a job at Hickory Ridge after the season. This was his first season in Harrisburg.
