Here’s how you can feast on high school basketball during this holiday weekend
Some of the Charlotte area’s top high school basketball teams will renew a Thanksgiving holiday tradition Friday and Saturday in the ninth annual Charlotte Hoops Challenge at Berry Academy.
Fans can gorge themselves on nonstop basketball from mid-morning until late night.
Perhaps the highlight game will be the finale, set for 8:30 p.m. Saturday, with two-time reigning state 3A champion Concord Cox Mill facing 4A power West Charlotte. Cox Mill is led by all-state forward and Duke recruit Wendell Moore, who averaged 25 points last season.
Tipoff for the opening game each day is 10 a.m.
One ticket is good for an entire day. Tickets bought before 2 p.m. are $10, except $8 for adults 65 and older and for children ages 5-12. After 2 p.m., admission is $15, except $12 for those 5-12 or 65 and older.
