Langtree Charter senior is Charlotte Observer boys’ basketball Player of the Week

Langtree Charter senior Jordan Wyke is the Charlotte Observer’s high school boys’ basketball Player of the Week.

Wyke won in a close race over Butler High’s Patrick Wessler and Cannon School’s DJ Nix.

A 6-foot-3 guard/forward, Wyke averaged 18 points, 12 rebounds and six assists last week in wins over Liberty Prep Christian and the Sunshine Coast Phoenix Australian team.

Wyke had 20 points and 11 rebounds in an 87-62 victory over Sunshine Coast Phoenix Australian on Dec. 11.

Two nights later, Wyke had 16 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists in a 71-63 win over Liberty Prep Christian.

Wyke has four double-doubles for Langtree Charter (5-6) this season.
