Prep Basketball Rewind: Vance girls win title in Miami, North Meck advances to Tenn. final

Braylyn Milton, Independence girls: 27 points, five steals and three assists in a 70-62 win over Hough to win third place at the East Lincoln Winter Jam. Milton made 12-of-12 free throw attempts and scored her 1,000th career point.

Mallorie Haines, Davidson Day girls: team went 0-3 at the Palm Beach Gardens tournament, but Haines, a Davidson recruit, was high scorer in all three games (28, 23 and 23 points). For the season, Haines is averaging 30 points, 6.4 rebounds and three steals.

Tristan Maxwell, North Mecklenburg: 29 points, four rebounds, two assists in a 84-77 win over Mentor Cardinal (OH) in the semifinals of the Arby’s Classic in Tennessee.

Madeleine Jenkins, Alexander Central: 14 points, 12 reounds, four assists, two blocks, one assist in a 59-35 win over Maiden.

Brianna Tadlock, East Lincoln: 33 points, five steals in a 65-56 win over Northwest Cabarrus. Tadlock, who scored 78 points in the East Lincoln Winter Jam, was named all-tournament for the second straight year.

Trinity Thompson, Independence: 17 points, five rebounds, two steals and two assists in a 70-62 win over Hough.

Aylesha Wade, Clover: 18 points in the Carolina Lowcountry Championshp game to lead Clover to a 52-36 win over Mauldin. Named tournament MVP, Wade averaged 20.6 points in the tournament
