Hough High wrestler is Charlotte Observer athlete of the week

Hough High wrestler Richard Treanor is the first Charlotte Observer high school athlete of the week in 2020.

The Hough junior won the 113-pound individual title at the Holy Angels’ Invitational Dec. 28.

Treanor, who is 26-2 this season, beat South Rowan’s Jacob Cox in the finals to win the Holy Angels’ crown.

Treanor is the defending 4A state champion at 106 pounds.
