Cleveland County power joins Charlotte Observer Sweet 16 football poll
Shelby High School joins the Charlotte Observer Sweet 16 poll this week.
The Golden Lions (3-0) rallied to beat Chase 47-41 last week after trailing by two touchdowns at halftime. Chase was trying to beat Shelby for the first time in school history.
Shelby won the program’s 11th state championship in December 2019, beating Salisbury 34-0.
