Talking Preps NC: the NCHSAA and NCISAA Playoff Show

Talking Preps NC returns with a full show:

We breakdown each N.C. High School Athletic Association playoff, by classification, and discuss why Mountain Island Charter won’t be playing and whether the NCHSAA needs to change its rules to prevent this from happening in the future.

The guru, Chris Hughes, has updated state rankings and offers his top five games to watch this week in each class.

Butler High star QB Xavion Brower is on ‘The Game Show’ to end coach Greiner’s little win streak, and Chelsea sits down with Clayton High’s Donovan Spellman who has a big playoff game Friday.

The Mr. Football state player of the year watch list is trimmed to eight, and Grice breaks down the N.C. game of the week, West Forsyth at South Mecklenburg.

We announce last week’s top performers in North Carolina, the Grice’s Gems: Crest’s Mari Adams, Dudley’s RJ Baker, Grimsley’s Alonza Barnett, Providence Day’s Grantt Logan and Chase’s Marqies McCombs.

We also introduce four new Fresh Faces: Providence’s Luke Bailey, Mallard Creek’s Jhase Gist, Southern Durham’s Jay’Bron Harvey and Apex Friendship’s Dustin Veach.
