Cabarrus Warriors’ Will Jones, West Lincoln’s Xandor Hedrick are Observer football POTWs
The Charlotte Observer’s high school football players of the week come from Cabarrus and Lincoln Counties this week.
The offensive player of the week is the Cabarrus Warriors Will Jones. In a 44-28 win over Raleigh Ravenscroft Nov. 5, Jones ran 27 times for 264 yards and three scores. He had one catch for 16 yards.
The defensive player of the week is West Lincoln’s Xandor Hedrick. He had seven tackles, a tackle for a loss and a forced fumble in Friday’s 41-7 win over Surry Central on Nov. 5.
