Tuesday’s Talking Preps NC: in-depth playoff breakdown and players uploading fake stats

Talking Preps NC returns tonight (11.9.21) with a look at the second round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs and the N.C. Independent Schools semifinals.

The show airs live at 8, with replays after.

On tap this week:

Chris Hughes has the state’s best and most detailed breakdown of games, plus new state rankings in each class.

Find out why the guys decided to add four players to the Mr. Football Watchlist instead of shrink it.

We will feature the five top performers in North Carolina from last Friday’s games, the Grice’s Gems: Rolesville QB Byrum Brown; Chase DB Taivon Derisma; Mallard Creek WR/DB Darren Hamilton; Panther Creek QB Amari Odom and Leesville Road RB DJ Scott

Chris and coach Grice will feature four new Fresh Faces: Eastern Alamance’s Devin Clark, Knightdale’s Ray’Zhon Jackson, Charlotte Latin’s Dave Mosrie and Wilmington Laney’s Mason Vaughan.

We’ll have an extended breakdown for our N.C. game of the week -- Chambers at Hickory Ridge -- plus an interview with Hickory Ridge coach Jupiter Wilson, who has a message for the two-time state champs.

Chris has a message for players trying to game the system with fake stats, and AL Brown middle linebacker Brock Morgan talks the season and tries to take down coach Greiner on the Game Show.

Finally, on Coach vs. Coach, Grice and Greiner debate Chambers’ 3-peat chances, whether the east has caught up to the west and if Charlotte Catholic’s dynasty is dead after the Cougars first round playoff loss last week.
