Three new teams in the “All-NC” rankings; Mr./Ms. Basketball Watchlists announced

Three new teams join the All-NC rankings this week on the boys side and there’s one on the girls side. Also below find our initial Mr. and Ms. Basketball Watchlists.

▪ Providence Day, Gaston Day and Greenfield are in for the boys.

▪ There’s one new team in the girls poll: 13-1 Northwood checks in at No. 20.

▪ In our non-association poll, LIberty Heights, out of Charlotte, maintains its grip on No. 1.

Mr./Ms. Basketball

The Charlotte and News & Observer will again name the Mr. and Ms. Basketball for the state this season. The winners can come from any grade.
