Khalia King, Kings Mountain: 22 points, seven rebounds in a 62-40 win over Forestview.

Chloe Moss, Independence: in a 45-31 win over Garinger, Moss had 15 points and nine rebounds. She shot 7-of-11 from the field and is averaging nine points and six rebounds this season.

Brooklyn Saunders, Butler: 27 points in a 41-30 win over East Mecklenburg.

Zoey Ward, Concord Academy: 20 points, 12 rebounds, four assists in an 80-44 win over Metrolina Christian.

Ruby Williams, Cuthbertson: 26 points, five steals and three rebounds in a 52-15 win over Porter Ridge.

South Meck 4A

Myers Park 78, Ardrey Kell 38 ... The Mustangs improved to 7-0 and held their conference lead with this lopsided victory. Anna Giannopoulou scored 15 points, and Mia Xerras added 13. The Mustangs broke it open with a 26-7 bulge in the second quarter. Molly Burns scored 18 for Ardrey Kell.

Southwestern 4A

Charlotte Catholic 67, Rocky River 34 ... The Cougars (18-1, 7-0) remained unbeaten in conference play, building a 21-7 first-quarter lead.

Butler 41, East Mecklenburg 30 ... Brooklyn Saunders’ 27 points led the Bulldogs.

CISAA

Charlotte Country Day 49, Charlotte Latin 47 ... Charlotte Latin led by nine points with 4:42 left, but the Buccaneers rallied. Mary Holland Waters led the Bucs with 22 points. Maddie Shannon scored 16 for Charlotte Latin.

Cannon School 55, Providence Day 53 ... Samyha Suffren scored 18 points and hit 6-of-6 free throws in the final minute, as Cannon School (11-11, 4-1) took over first place from the Chargers (17-6, 4-2). Chandler Brooks scored 22 for Providence Day. Cannon School has won nine in a row.

Southern Carolina 4A

Cuthbertson 52, Porter Ridge 15 ... Ruby Williams scored 26 points, hitting 10-of-15 from the floor, and added five steals for the Pirates.

Weddington 33, Piedmont 27 ... After a scoreless first quarter, Weddington went on a 10-0 run and prevailed.



Big South 3A

Kings Mountain 62, Forestview 40 ... The Mountaineers improved to 9-0 in the conference, as Khalla King scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Saniya Wilson added eight points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists. Kendall Manning led Forestview with 15 points.

Hunter Huss 69, Stuart Cramer 37 ... Stuart Cramer led 22-21 at the half, but the Huskies piled up a 33-9 margin in the third quarter. Hadley Womack scored a game-high 21 for Stuart Cramer. Savanni Harris led the Huskies with 15.

Crest 43, South Point 25 ... South Point led 16-6 after one quarter, but the Chargers outscored the hosts 16-0 in the second period. Freshman De’kaylia Davis scored 16 for Crest.

Western Foothills 3A

East Lincoln 70, West Iredell 14 ... The Mustangs (16-2, 8-0) raced to a 21-0 lead after the first quarter and coasted.

Metrolina Athletic

Concord Academy 80, Metrolina Christian 44 ... This meeting of the league’s top two teams turned into a rout, as Zoey Ward scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the victors. Concord Academy is 11-0 in the conference, while Metrolina Christian slips to 8-2.
