United Faith basketball star Camryn Williams is the Observer’s girls athlete of the week

The Charlotte Observer’s girls high school athlete of the week is United Faith basketball player Camryn Williams.

The 5-foot-11 sophomore scored a career-high 28 points to go with 16 rebounds, five steals and three blocks to lead United Faith to a 37-32 win over Lake Norman Christian Feb. 1.

Williams also had five points in a 65-7 loss at Victory Christian, Feb. 4.

Williams, who received more than 44,000 votes, is averaging 13 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks per game for United Faith.
