There’s a new Talking Preps NC that debuts Monday night at 8 p.m. On tap:

Carmel Christian star Cade Tyson and coach Joe Badgett stop by to talk about the season. Carmel is a top 5 statewide team with real state championship potential. Tyson, a Belmont recruit, is younger brother of Clemson starter Hunter Tyson. Also, Tyson faces off with Randall on “The Game Show.”

On the Rundown, coach Rick talks about the nation’s top 3 scorers being from North Carolina, Chelsea breaks down a big game between Millbrook and Wake Forest and Gary has thoughts on how Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools can make conference tournaments special again.

Chelsea sits down with McDonald’s All-American Indya Nivar, an Apex Friendship star who has signed with Stanford.

We reveal the latest ‘All-NC’ high school basketball statewide polls, and there’s a new No. 1 on the boys side, a big time move from a girls team from Mecklenburg County -- and just a bunch of changes elsewhere.

Coach Rick, Alex and Randall discuss the latest Mr. and Ms. Basketball Watchlists for the NC players of the year.

And in ‘Coach vs. Coach,’ Gary and Randall debate whether or not state championships should still be on college campuses, should the NCHSAA end geography-based playoff seedings and would most systems be better off allowing open enrollment for athletics.
