Talking Preps NC: North Meck coach Duane Lewis, star Jordan Crawford join the show
A new Talking Preps NC will debut Monday night at 8. On tap:
▪ North Mecklenburg High coach Duane Lewis, a two-time N.C. state champion, joins the show with star Jordan Crawford, a College of Charleston signee and a finalist for N.C. Mr. Basketball.
▪ On the Rundown, Gary and Randall debate how many ACC teams will make the NCAA Tournament; Alex discusses whether high school conference tournaments should end; we discuss the Athens Drive-Cardinal Gibbons game and whether we get a rematch this week; and Randall and Rick discuss the ‘double-bye’ format in the NCISAA 4A postseason.
▪ Chelsea sits down with Crossroads Christian star Shane Anthony, who has helped the team to a major turnaround in one year.
▪ We update the Mr. and Ms. N.C. player of the year watchlists and there are major changes on the girls side. Also, Alex and Rick update the ‘All-NC’ rankings of the state’s best boys and girls teams.
▪ Finally, in Coach vs. Coach, Gary and Randall debate whether or not the Super Bowl should move to Saturday, if high school teams should be able to advance the ball to halfcourt after a timeout and whether or not the NCHSAA playoffs have too many teams.
