Friday’s #BIG5 Girls Top Performers

Mila Holloway, Chambers: Scored a game-high 33 points to lead Chambers to a 66-63 win over North Mecklenburg in the Queen City 3A/4A final.

Kate Sears, Watauga: freshman guard had 22 points, nine rebounds in a 38-29 win over Alexander Central in the Northwestern 3A/4A championship game.

Madison Self, East Lincoln: named tournament MVP of the Western Foothills 3A tournament after getting her 17th double-double of the season. She finished with 18 points, 15 rebounds, three steals and a block in a 50-42 championship win over Hickory.

Blanca Thomas, Charlotte Catholic: 29 points, 17 rebounds, two blocks and two assists in a 53-40 win over Independence in the Southwestern 4A championship game.

Ruby Williams, Cuthbertson: Newly named Southern Carolinas player of year had 22 points, five rebounds in a 52-31 win over Sweet 16 No. 16 Marvin Ridge in the tournament final.
