Ardrey Kell soccer star Claire Smith is the Charlotte Observer’s girls high school athlete of the week.
The Knights’ junior defensive center midfielder helped her team with a “relentless presence,” playing every minute of two wins over Providence and Myers Park this week, according to Ardrey Kell soccer coach Kim Montgomery.
Smith scored a goal off a corner kick in the 4-0 win at Myers Park April 8.
Ardrey Kell (12-0-1) also beat Providence 4-1 April 6.
