NW Cabarrus’ Chaunesse Barringer is the Charlotte Observer girls athlete of the week
Northwest Cabarrus track star Chaunesse Barringer is the Charlotte Observer girls high school athlete of the week.
The Trojans’ senior jumped a personal-best 19-9 to win the long jump at the South Piedmont conference championships at East Rowan May 4.
Barringer also won the 100-meter dash (12.48) and 200 (25.76) at the conference championships to earn the SPC’s most outstanding female athlete.
Barringer is a Charlotte 49ers’ track commit.
