Hickory Grove’s Langston Rupert is The Charlotte Observer baseball player of the week
Hickory Grove centerfielder Langston Rupert is The Charlotte Observer’s high school baseball player of the week.
The Lions’ sophomore went 3-for-4 with two doubles as Hickory Grove lost to SouthLake Christian 5-0 in the MAC tournament game May 5.
Rupert also went 3-for-4 with a grand-slam, four RBIs and two runs scored in a 14-8 win over Metrolina Christian May 3.
Ruper is batting .342 with 10 doubles, a home run, a triple, 20 runs scored and nine stolen bases, with no errors for Hickory Grove.
