Bandy’s Styborski, Parkwood’s Plyler are Readers’ HS baseball players of the year

The Charlotte Observer readers have spoken, and they have chosen Bandys’ Parker Styborski and Parkwood’s Ashton Plyler as the high school baseball player and pitcher of the year.

To be considered for this Reader’s Choice awards, a player’s statistics had to rank among the top 10 on MaxPreps statewide in a major statistical category.

Styborski hit 44 RBIs this season, which ranked No. 5 in the state.

Plyler’s 0.62 ERA in 56 inning ranked 10th.
