North Mecklenburg’s Keera Moua named Reader’s Choice Girls Soccer player of the year

North Mecklenburg High’s Keera Moua was voted The Charlotte Observer Reader’s Choice for girls soccer player of the year.

Moua received more than 16,000 votes to win a close race with second place Cheyanne Hunter of South Rowan and Emme Lewandowski of South Point.

This past season, the two-time all-conference and two-time all-region star had 42 goals, which ranked among the top 60 players in the nation and was No. 1 among all N.C. 4A players in public school. Moua’s 28 assists was also tops among N.C. 4A public school girls players.
