Talking Preps 8.30.22: Previewing Week 3, Catholic’s Sean Boyle and week’s top NC games.

<.div>

Talking Preps NC returns Tuesday at 8 p.m. for a look at Week 3 of the high school season.

You can watch right here or on social (more below). This week’s highlights:

On our “Rapid Fire” segment, the guys discuss big Cleveland County games; East Forsyth; high school hazing; Providence’s Luke Bailey; and why West Rowan-Mooresville is one of the best Week 3 games no one is talking about.

We introduce the NC high school players of the week: West Rowan’s Lucas Graham, Providence’s Bailey, West Caldwell’s Jaylen Patterson, Ardrey Kell’s Khyler Watson and AC Reynolds’ Max Guest.

Charlotte Catholic’s Sean Boyle stops by to battle Sam on “The Game Show,” and Chelsea sits down with Hickory Ridge’s Luke Gilbertson who reveals why he has the Julius Chambers game circled on his calendar.

Alex rants on teams crossing states to play games, and he has the latest statewide high school rankings and the top 10 games this week.

Charlotte Catholic coach Mike Brodowicz stops by along with Providence Day’s Chad Grier before Grice breaks down the NC game of the week between those two schools.

We introduce four new “Fresh Faces,” the stars of tomorrow: Conley’s Isaiah Crumpler, Butler’s Zach Lawrence, Providence Day’s David Sanders Jr. and Eastern Alamance’s Tyrek Samuel.

Finally, in “Coach vs. Coach,” Grice and Greiner debate whether UNC has found their man with Drake Maye; whether UNC can avoid an upset at App State Saturday; and whether streaming, still, is good for high school sports.

Tune in live at 8 -- and bring your comments.
