Olympic football improves to 5-0 with easy win over Harding in its conference opener

Elijah Holmes threw four touchdown passes and led unbeaten Olympic past visiting Harding 48-6 Friday.

The Trojans (5-0) reached their midseason bye in style, building a 34-0 halftime lead over the Rams (1-4) in each team’s SoMeck 4A conference opener.

Olympic scored just 3 1/2 minutes into the game on a 5-yard pass from Holmes to Deangelo Hall.

Before halftime, Holmes also connected with Sterling Greene on two more scores. His final touchdown pass was a 34-yarder to Khi Morris.

Holmes has thrown for more than 1,200 yards and has 11 touchdown passes in five games.

Harding averted a shutout on JJ Seegars’ third-quarter scoring pass to A.J. Jenkins.
