As the playoffs begin, Kings Mountain sits at the top of The Observer’s Sweet 16 poll

With the NCHSAA and NCISAA playoffs about to start, Kings Mountain maintains its grip atop The Observer’s Sweet 16 poll.

With the postseason kicking off Friday and ranked teams facing each other, week after week, the poll is sure to change a lot before the season ends in December and a champion is named.

No new teams are in this week, though Independence jumped to No. 5, moving up six spots, after knocking off previously No. 2 Butler Friday at home.
