Here are the NC players of the week after the first round of the NCHSAA, NCISAA playoffs

Here are the NC high school football players of the week from Friday’s games in the first round of the playoffs.

Julian Carmichael, West Charlotte: intercepted three passes in a 40-13 win over Stuart Cramer. He returned one for a touchdown.

Session McArthur, Millbrook: sophomore defensive back two tackles and three interceptions in a 27-10 win over Clayton.

Caden Morton, New Hanover: 16 carries for 220 yards and two touchdowns in a 45-19 win over Broughton. He also caught a pass for 15 yards.

Hunter Stalcup, Murphy: junior running back rushed 15 times for 217 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-20 win over Albemarle.

Nick Reid, Pine Lake Prep: in a 38-20 win over West Stokes, Reid completed 19-of-25 passes for a school-record 412 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown and an interception on defense. In the same game, Reid also set the school records for passing yards in a season (1,441), passing TDs in a season (17), passing TDs in a career (31) and passing yards in a career (3,207).
