Lake Norman’s Kirsten Lewis-Williams is The Observer’s girls athlete of the week

Lake Norman’s Kirsten Lewis-Williams is The Charlotte Observer’s girls athlete of the week.

Williams, a 5-foot-10 basketball player, scored 29 points, had 10 rebounds, seven steals and three assists in a 73-26 win over Ardrey Kell in the Phenom LakesGiving Classic at Lake Norman Nov. 26.

The next day, Lewis-Williams scored 21 points, had six rebounds, four assists and four steals in a 78-6 win over Olympic in the LakesGiving Classic.

Lewis-Williams was averaging 20.7 points, six rebounds, 6.3 steals and 3.7 assists for Lake Norman through last Sunday when the poll began.
