Lake Norman Christian’s Lincoln Vinson is Observer boys athlete of the week

Lake Norman Christian basketball player Lincoln Vinson, a 5-foot-10 eighth grader, is The Charlotte Observer boys athlete of the week.

Vinson scored 32 points, had 11 steals, seven assists and four rebounds in a 93-34 win over Charlotte Lab School Feb. 6.

Vinson also scored 48 points, had seven rebounds, six assists and six steals in a 96-23 victory over Christ Classical Feb. 9.

The next night, Vinson scored 22 points, had seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal in an 84-58 loss to United Faith.

Vinson is averaging 26 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals per game for Lake Norman Christian (15-7) this season.
