Monroe High School’s Jayden Olden is the first Deer Park Charlotte-area high school football defensive player of the week.

Olden won a weeklong vote after nominations were announced last Sunday. He will receive a trophy from Deer Park to signify his win.

In a 56-0 win over Central Davidson last week, the 5-11, 195-pound senior linebacker had eight tackles, a forced fumble and fumble recovery. He also had an interception that he returned 37 yards.
