LeDarrion Menter of Northwest Cabarrus is The Charlotte Observer/Deer Park Water high school football defensive player of the week.
In a 49-9 win against West Rowan, Menter had six tackles, four tackles for a loss and three sacks.
Minter will receive a trophy from the bottled water company to commemorate his win.
