Berry High girls golfer Leya Edwards-Headen is The Charlotte Observer girls athlete of the week.
The Cardinals’ senior shot a then career-best 1-over-par 37 at Charles Sifford Golf Course on Sept. 26.
The next day, she topped that, firing an even-par 36 at Charles Sifford Golf Club in a match with East Mecklenburg.
