Piedmont High soccer player Hever Delgado is The Charlotte Observer high school boys athlete of the week.
The Panthers’ senior scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win at Forest Hills on Oct. 10. Delgado had three in a 4-1 victory at Central Academy on Oct. 12.
Piedmont has clinched at least a share of the Rocky River conference title for the first time in 25 years.
