Myers Park boys/girls split AC Reynolds doubleheader

Myers Park High School’s boys’ and girls’ basketball teams split a doubleheader at Asheville Reynolds on Saturday.

The Mustangs’ boys team won 75-30, mainly by outscoring Reynolds 29-2 in the second quarter.

Sadiq White had 17 for Myers Park and Josh Hines added 13.

Myers Park’s girls lost their first game of the season, falling 60-48. Reynolds jumped out to a 17-9 first quarter lead. The teams played even over the next two quarters, each scoring 26 points, before Reynolds outscored Myers Park 17-13 in the fourth.

Anna Wilcox had 17 for Reynolds (15-1). Laura Lassister (23 points) and Jerin Truesdale (14) led the Mustangs.
