The Talking Preps NCHSAA regional championship preview show

On the final Talking Preps’ episode of the season, we preview the NCHSAA regional championships in Winston-Salem this week.

On tap:

Randall Clark reveals his girls’ players of the week: East Burke’s Kara Brinkley, Charlotte Catholic’s Maggie Kernodle, Lake Norman’s Kelsey Rhyne, West Rowan’s Lauren Arnold and Watauga’s Kate Sears, who joins us in studio.

Rick Lewis has his boys’ players of the week: Chambers’ Tarris Bouie, Lake Norman’s team, Central Cabarrus’ D.J. Kent, North Meck’s Isaiah Evans and the Corvian Community team. Corvian second-year coach Ron Murphy joins us live in studio.

We break down all of the eastern and western regional championship games with Lewis, Clark, former South Meck girls’ coach Cristie Mitchell, former Chambers’ coach Gary Richmond along with Alex Bass.

Finally on “Coach vs. Coach,” Clark and Richmond debate the following: better to build a college team with 1-and-dones or multi-year players; thoughts on the new NCHSAA one-week regional/state finals format; and where does Isaiah Evans’ 48-point quarterfinal performance Friday rank among the best you’ve seen.

Watch live on YouTube (replays after).
