Mountain Island Charter’s Brayden Jolly is The Charlotte Observer’s high school athlete of the week.
Jolly, a senior cross-country runner, ran an 18:28.16 to win the Mountain Island Charter Run Pink Invitational on Oct. 8.
Jolly, who won the race by 11 seconds, led the host team to a one-point team victory over Community School of Davidson at the same meet.
