Gavin Barber, Mooresville: Barber caught three passes for 101 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-7 win over AL Brown.
Jordan Cleaves, Cox Mill: In a 38-35 win over Hickory Ridge, Cleaves caught the game-winning pass to give his team its first win of the season. He finished with six catches for 159 yards and two scores.
Jackson Debe, Providence: In a 76-0 win over Garinger, Debe completed 6 of 7 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns. He ran three times for 29 yards and two more scores.
Zach Dillworth, Forest Hills: In a 50-7 win over Parkwood, Dillworth completed 15 of 20 passes for 322 yards and two touchdowns. He hooked up with receiver Jerel Bolder, an N.C. State recruit, seven times for 173 yards and two scores.
Eric Forston, South Point: In a 47-0 win over Forestview, Forston ran 19 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns.
David Johnson, Hickory Ridge: In a 38-35 loss to Cox Mill, Johnson ran 27 times for 131 yards and three touchdowns. He caught seven passes for 69 yards and another score.
Jayden Jones, Independence: In a 44-0 win over Rocky River, Jones ran 13 times for 206 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 15.8 yards per carry. He also had a 62-yard reception for a touchdown. In nine games, Jones has rushed for 1,754 yards and 22 touchdowns, averaging 15.9 yards per carry.
Rashad Lynch, Lincolnton: In a 20-19 win over Maiden, Lynch completed 12 of 16 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns. He ran 14 times for 88 yards and another score. He led the Wolves to win after they trailed 19-0.
Quintin McCray, Providence Day: In a 52-7 win over Charlotte Latin, the Chargers won their fifth straight Big South 3A conference championship, coach Chad Grier became the winningest coach in school history and McCray had 11 tackles, two tackles for a loss and a QB hurry.
Seth McGaha, North Gaston: In a 21-7 win over Stuart Cramer, North Gaston ended a four-game losing streak and McGaha had a team-high nine tackles, a sack and a team-high three tackles for a loss.
Jamouri Nichols, West Charlotte: The sophomore quarterback led his team to a 33-7 win over Chambers Friday. He threw for 120 yards and three touchdowns and ran 13 times for 119 yards and another score.
Devin Walker, Olympic: In a 14-13 come-from-behind win over Ardrey Kell — a game that kept the Trojans’ conference championship hopes alive — Walker ran 12 times for 60 yards and had two tackles on defense, including a sack.
Justice Washington, Mountain Island Charter: In a 42-8 win over Winston-Salem Carver, Washington caught seven passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns
Austin Williams, SouthLake Christian: In a 30-7 win over Asheville Christian, Williams ran eight times for 162 yards and a touchdown. He averaged 20.3 yards per carry. He also caught three passes for 50 yards.
