Monroe High School’s Janiya Boyd is The Charlotte Observer high school athlete of the week for the week of Nov. 29.
The 5-9 freshman scored 42 points, grabbed three rebounds to go wth three steals, five assists and one block in a 57-37 win at Garinger on Nov. 22.
