The weekly rankings are sponsored by The Charlotte Observer and the News & Observer of Raleigh.

The rankings are compiled by longtime N.C. basketball experts Rick Lewis and Alex Bass, co-hosts of The Charlotte Observer’s “Talking Preps” streaming show.
