Metrolina Christian’s Graham Furtick is The Observer’s boys’ high school athlete of the week.
Furtick is the son of Stephen Furtick, pastor and founder of Elevation Church in Charlotte.
A junior wrestler at Metrolina Christian, Graham Furtick finished third at 157 pounds at The Prep Slam tournament in Atlanta on Jan. 3-4.
Furtick, the defending NCISAA 157-pound state champion, started the season 18-2.
