Charlotte Country Day’s Olive Bigham is The Observer’s girls’ high school athlete of the week.
Bigham, a 6-foot-1 junior basketball player, scored 22 points, had eight rebounds, two assists and three steals in a 76-44 win at Durham Academy on Jan. 3.
The next day, Bigham scored 19 points, had one rebound, two assists and four steals in a 70-34 victory at Ravenscroft.
Bigham is averaging 16.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game for the Bucs (13-6), who have a CISAA conference game scheduled at Charlotte Christian Tuesday.
