Six underclassmen among 10 finalists for NC Ms. Basketball, the state player of the year
Perhaps the most surprising thing about the initial list of finalists for the N.C. Ms. Basketball award is that there are only four seniors among the 10 players.
Three sophomores and three juniors are also up for the award, which The Charlotte Observer began in the 1984-85 school year.
The winner will be announced in March, during the week of the N.C. High School Association state championships.
Players not on this list will have a chance to join it. Additional updates will come later in the season.
