Concord High School swimmer Barron Bell is The Observer’s boys’ high school athlete of the week.
The Spiders’ junior swam a personal-best to finish third in the 100 freestyle at the South Piedmont conference championships at Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics Center on Jan. 21.
Bell has qualified for the 3A West Regionals in four individual events and two relays this season.
