Cox Mill senior Lauren Farrell is The Observer’s girls’ high school athlete of the week.
The 6-foot forward scored 32 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to go with three assists and one steal in a 71-48 win over West Cabarrus on Jan. 28.
Farrell also scored 19 points, had eight rebounds, two assists and six steals in a 53-30 win at South Iredell on Jan. 27.
Farrell finished off the week with 15 points, 12 rebounds and four steals to lead lead Cox Mill to a 60-35 win at A.L. Brown on Jan. 31.
Farrell is averaging 14.4 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 1.5 assists for Cox Mill.
