North Lincoln’s Ashlyn Black is The Charlotte Observer’s girls’ high school athlete of the week.
The 5-8 sophomore scored 10 points, had five rebounds, one assist and two blocks in a 57-47 win over St. Stephens on Feb. 4.
Black followed that up with 24 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 66-36 victory at Fred T. Foard on Feb. 7.
Black is averaging 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals per game for North Lincoln.
