Lake Norman Charter’s Abby Courtney is The Charlotte Observer’s girls’ high school athlete of the week.
The 5-6 sophomore scored 22 points to go with seven rebounds, seven assists and five steals in a 62-51 loss to Central Cabarrus in the first round of the South Piedmont conference tournament on Feb. 17.
Courtney averaged 14 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 4.7 steals per game for Lake Norman Charter.
