In this week’s N.C. high school baseball polls, there are two new No. 1 ranked teams and eight new ranked teams.

The rankings are sponsored by The Charlotte Observer and the News & Observer of Raleigh. They are compiled by longtime N.C. high school sports expert Alex Bass, a co-host of The Observer’s streaming “Talking Preps” show.

There’s a new No. 1 in the 4A poll: Greenville’s Conley High (14-1) and three new teams: Weddington (14-4), East Forsyth (16-3) and West Forsyth (14-3).

There’s also a new No. 1 in the 3A poll: NC power Greenville Rose (13-2) takes over the top spot as South Central (10-5) fell three spots to No. 4. Two new teams are in this week: Rockingham County (17-1) and South Johnston (12-5).

Two new teams join the 2A poll: Edenton’s Holmes High (13-3) and West Bladen (9-4).
