Which are the top boys’ basketball teams in NC? Check our preseason rankings

High school basketball practice officially began Wednesday for most of the state’s teams, and the first games are less than a week away.

Here are the N.C. statewide preseason boys’ basketball rankings, sponsored by The Charlotte Observer and News & Observer of Raleigh.

They are compiled by longtime N.C. basketball expert Rick Lewis, who is a co-host of The Observer’s Talking Preps basketball show, which will return in January.
