Where Charlotte-area high school athletes are committing during early signing period

The start of the 2025-26 NCAA signing period begins Wednesday, and we’re tracking where Charlotte Observer-area athletes are heading to college.

The signing period for Division I basketball, the early period, runs Nov. 12-19. The regular DI signing period begins April 15. All other sports, except football, can sign beginning Wednesday.

Football’s early signing period for high school athletes is Dec. 3-5 for Division I. And Division I and Division II football players can sign in the regular period, beginning Feb. 4.
